As the CEO of Teen Universe, Montiel has worked tirelessly to inspire young women to develop the skills they need to make a difference.
When Teen Universe was founded in 2012, it aimed to fulfill the aspirations of teenage girls. However, as the pageant evolved, it became clear that its primary objective was to inspire young women to make a positive difference in society. Today, Teen Universe is more than just a beauty pageant – it is a platform for young women to learn, grow, and impact their communities.
At Teen Universe, the focus is not just on physical appearance, but on developing the whole person. Participants engage in workshops and seminars to learn about topics such as financial literacy, public speaking, and community service. They also participate in fundraising initiatives and volunteer work, giving back to their communities and making a difference in the lives of those around them.
The first Teen Universe took place on April 30, 2012 in Nicaragua. Candidates from 13 countries competed for the title. At the end, Sasha Nikyta KAM from Panama was crowned Teen Universe 2012.
