Behind the Sash: From Architecture Student to Miss World Delegate, Chloe Robinson’s Blueprint for Change

Nova (IA) 2026

Miss New Zealand 2026 Chloe Robinson on Safe Housing, Diversity, and Pageantry

Behind every sash lies a story of dreams, determination, and a fight for causes that go far beyond the stage. Today, we have the honor of pulling back the curtain on the extraordinary journey of Chloe Robinson, your Miss New Zealand 2026. At just 20 years old, this architecture student from the University of Auckland perfectly embodies the blend of creativity, intelligence, and social impact that defines modern pageantry.

Growing up, Chloe thought that breaking into a global platform from a small country like New Zealand was an unreachable dream. She set her sights on becoming an architect. However, discovering the world of pageantry opened her eyes to the immense power of using her voice for change. Today, as a proud Cantonese-Kiwi, she stands as a cultural ambassador representing the beautiful diversity of Aotearoa.

Her advocacy is deeply intertwined with her studies. Recognizing the escalating housing crisis in New Zealand, Chloe fiercely advocates for safe, affordable housing. She has partnered with De Paul House, a charity providing emergency housing and family support services, to raise awareness and vital donations. For Chloe, architecture is not just about designing buildings; it is about recognizing that a safe home is the fundamental foundation for everyday life.

As she prepares for the historic Miss World competition in Vietnam, where over 120 countries will be represented, Chloe remains focused on community and authenticity. Whether she is handcrafting her own national costume—a tribute to the Taniwha, the protective guardians of Māori mythology, to highlight environmental conservation—or balancing intense university exams with her part-time job, she is proving that true leadership is grounded in hard work.

In one of the most touching moments of our one-on-one conversation, Chloe tearfully expressed her boundless gratitude for her family. From her mother who encouraged her to step out of her comfort zone, to her 16-year-old brother who filmed her official tourism video, to her father driving her to early morning appearances, her journey is a beautiful testament to the power of a strong support system.
