Portland’s Celene Hall Sweeps the Board to Capture Miss Universe Jamaica 2026

The AC Hotel in New Kingston witnessed a night of unprecedented triumph on Sunday, as 25-year-old Celene Hall shattered a regional glass ceiling to become the first woman from the parish of Portland to be crowned Miss Universe Jamaica. Emerging victorious from a competitive field of 33 delegates, Hall's coronation marks a defining moment in Jamaican pageantry history.

A businesswoman, artist, and philanthropist, Hall brings a formidable and multifaceted resume to the national title. Having spent the last five years building a career as an executive manager in shipping and logistics, she possesses a grounded, real-world leadership acumen. Beyond the boardroom, she is the founder of The Hummingbird Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to community outreach and support—a testament to her deep-rooted passion for social impact.

Her dominance on the finale stage was absolute. Hall captured a staggering five sectional awards: Essence of Style, Best in Swimwear, Best in Evening Gown, the Altruism Award, and the Most Aware Award. This comprehensive sweep underscored her versatility, proving she possesses both the physical presence and the intellectual depth required for the international stage.

The Powerful Royal Court

The royal court was completed by highly accomplished women, with 26-year-old medical doctor Tianna McDaniel taking 1st Runner-Up (and Most Photogenic), and 30-year-old creative and marketing professional Kadejah Anderson named 2nd Runner-Up. Hall was crowned by the reigning Miss Universe Jamaica 2025, Dr. Gabrielle Henry, passing the torch to a queen with an unwavering vision.

As she prepares to head to Puerto Rico for the 75th Miss Universe Diamond Anniversary this November, Hall’s objective is crystal clear: "We all know that Jamaica has never taken the crown, and we’re going to do everything that we can to take that crown to Jamaica this year." With her unshakeable community support and undeniable stage mastery, Celene Hall might just be the powerhouse to finally secure that elusive global victory.
